Should I perm my hair even though it's damaged?

My hair is pretty damaged from coloring and perms in the past. But a while back, I cut my hair really short so the perm I had then, got cut out (It was curly). I really don't know what I was thinking. But its kinda longish now but it has no shape to it. It's neither curly or straight, it's just a big mass of hair. I'm thinking that if I go curly again, that would be an improvement. what do u think?

most of the perm you have left is on the ends not at the scalp where you need the lift to get shape and volume to your hair. if you still have color on the ends and do perm i suggest a perm for color treated hair ( if your ends are bleached then use a perm for bleached hair it will be easier on your hair) Use a good conditioner a couple time before perming I like Bain De Tere masque for hair in poor shape. Also use a larger rod for curl size. you'll get a softer effect and less damage than a tight curly. Cut hair after the perm to help remove damaged hair and the worst will be on the ends. If you still have some curl you may try just getting a good shape up this could buy you some time to let new hair grow out a little more allowing for a better curl latter on and help get rid of the damaged hair you have now. A hair trim shape up would be my first choice if you still have a quite a bit of color on the ends( lets say 50 %) . Hope this helps

if its less then a week since u permed ur hair then dont do it or if its less then a week for both then dont do it but like if its more then 1 week then do it if not then dont do it ur hair will fall out.
