Do you perm your hair to get big curls? Have you ever?

I tried getting a perm in my hair to get those big loose Victria's secret model wavy curls- BAD IDEA!! Even with the largest rod my stylest had to offer i still wound up with tighish curls, too tight! It took over a year to grow it out (i still have like an inch or two left) and it was a lot of upkeep and damaging. Instead I use hot rollers and my fingers to loosen them up. I don't want to sway you too much against it but most people have regrets after a perm, as i did. I embrace the straight days and work harder to make the curly ones but I'm thankful that all I have to do is wash my hair to get it back to the way it is normally.

You can, you would just use the biggest rods you can find. I havent done it to myself but I have performed this service on a friend of mine. It came out really cute like sexy beach hair.

I have permed my hair off and on for years..I like it permed BUT now that my daughter has become a beautician,she says no,that is bad,well i like it and will do it once more some day..too bad i'll have to pay cause she will not do it...I liked the tight culs on long hair..it is bad for your hair,it dries it out but .. i still like it...

I have in the past. I lived through the big hair bands era. I like permed hair. I had mine at a beauty shop. I don't have the guts to do it myself.
