What's the big secret to PERFECT HAIR?!?!?

I've been trying to get good hair for what seems like forever! My hair is always dried out, dull (no shine), frizzy, and then it gets greasy by the end of the day. I've tried to wash it every other day as people have reccomended but it's always too greasy!?

-I don't use too much shampoo or conditioner. - I only shampoo my scalp and condition the ends.

-Also, I've used every shampoo and conditioner on the face of the planet but nothing works!

Including:

the green bottle ..um Garnier Fructis? is it

herbal essence

sunsilk (all colors n kinds)

suave

head and shoulders

that expensive Nexxus or w/e it's called

Wen (don't bother, it's a waste of $30)

Dove

White Rain

Tresemme

etc.

As you may seem, I'm desperate and I need some HELP asap.

So my question is...how can I get back to the good hair that I use to have?!

if you need to kno --I'm 17 (senior in high school) I use to have blonde hair but one summer it just went brown, and I'm a clean person that showers daily!

stop washing your hair every other day... infact twice a week should be good...

..you need to give your head massages every now and then to wake up all the dead cells... warm some coconut oil and rub the same over your scalp with fingers and massage it.. you feel better.. sleep that night with oil on your hair and wash off the next morning.. it acts as good moisturizer too....

to keep your hair away from grease... dont comb it too much and dont run your hands thru your hair too much.. make sure you wear a cap to keep your hair away from dust when you are on roads... keep you mind calm and peacefull when you rest... too many tensions show direct impact on the hairs :)

hair stops growing and gets frizzy.. usually when the ends break... once you get split ends the end beraks into two and it stops growing... and eventually falls off... to avoid this.. do not use heat irons much.. no hair dryers and do trim the ends every three months...

I had the same problem.. i use biolage for oily hair and now i dont have the grease problem.. you may give it a try...

hope I helped you... gud luck :)

The way to beautiful hair comes from the inside. Just as a bad dog's coat is nourished by feeding him oil on his dog food, so is our hair. You need to be studying supplements for your diet instead of outside additives for your hair. You probably don't want to hear that but it worked for me. I needed several additives (mostly zinc but it can be dangerous so study first) that depend on your symptoms and personal hair problems.

Tips you can try:

-What is the right way of washing the hair?

The first thing you should do is to comb the tangles out of the hair before you wet it so the hair would wash easily and the tangles would not worsen. And then, wet your hair thoroughly under the shower. You can use either warm or cold water if you like, but for best results, you can wet your hair with warm water to open the scale-like cuticles of the hair and wash all the oil and dirt off. And then, you can rinse your hair with cold water afterwards to close the cuticles and add to the shine of your hair.

Rinse your hair under the shower to rid it of the leave-on conditioner and styling aids you have used previously, using gentle strokes of your fingertips. Then, pour a dollop of shampoo in the palm of your hand. Rub your hands together, and then apply the shampoo to your scalp. Take note that you should put the shampoo on your scalp and not at the ends of your hair, as the shampoo would dry your hair's ends and cause it to weaken and split. Also, do not mix your hair all over your head as you shampoo because it will get all tangled up. After this, rinse the shampoo off.

More often than not, we need to shampoo our hair for a second time. The purpose of the first shampoo is to clean the oil and dirt off; the second shampoo is supposed to let the shampoo treat our hair. So, repeat the process, but let the shampoo sit on for around a couple of minutes. Rinse the hair completely after this.

To get the excess water off your hair, just squeeze the water out. Do not pull or tug at the hair because the hair is at its most delicate when it is soaked. When the excess water is out, apply a dollop of conditioner - mane event - and apply it along the hairline, the nape and the ends of the hair. Pile your hair then inside a shower cap and let the conditioner stay there for around ten minutes. And then, rinse it off completely.

The process described here does seem tedious and time-consuming. But remember, having great hair takes time and effort.

-If Your Hair Is Curly:

Since your hair is prone to dryness, use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

After washing, gently blot hair dry with an absorbent towel and apply 4 to 6 drops of silicone-based shine serum (the thicker your hair, the more you can use).

Detangle hair with fingers, and allow it to air dry.

If Your Hair Is Wavy:

Lather up with a shine-enhancing shampoo and conditioner. Rinse well.

Smooth and separate wet strands with wide-tooth comb, then spritz a silicone-based shine-enhancing spray from ends to roots.

Dry hair using a blowdryer with a tapered nozzle to direct air down the hair shaft and seal the cuticle.

If Your Hair Is Straight:

Your hair tends to lie flat against your scalp, where it can accumulate shine-dulling grease.

To avoid this, use a deep-cleaning shampoo daily and apply a clarifying gel treatment to roots once a week to prevent oil buildup.

After blowing hair dry, use a flatiron to enhance sheen.

-# Visit your Stylist if the last time you saw her was over 6 months ago.

# Visit Wal-Mart or your local drug store and buy the quick fix VO5 Hot Oil Treatment. Use as directed and continue treatment once a week until product is finished. It helps put he moisture right back into your hair.

# Go to your Salon and ask them to give you a consultation. BC Bonacure and Joico閳ユ獨 Hair Repair Line have earned their reputation. Ask your stylist to suggest the best one for you.

# Leave your conditioner on for longer then 2 minutes while you bathe.

# Use BioSilk on dry hair to get rid of those stubborn hairs.

Okay....

I realize you are only 17, but I assume you may have a job or an allowance or some source of income....Stop buying that cheap junk you have listed above.

Why do you think drug store products are so cheap?? Generally, they use 60% ddetergent and the rest is fillers (ie.wax). If you ran out of laundry detergent you could go grab a bottle of the cheap drugstore crap and completely clean and sanitize your clothes. Do you really want something that harsh on your hair??
