My hair is loosing its natural curl?

I use to have a long curly hair, but now that I am living in a cold cold place my hair begins to fall and the nice natural curls are disappearing. In other word my hair becomes thinner and loosing my nice natural curls. Styling my hair becomes a big problem for me now. My curly hair was very easy for me to manage. Can anybody please give me some tips or share with me their own experiences about their hair problems.

Has this cold weather, something to do with this? By the way I'm now living in Maine, I used to live in Texas.

It's not the weather - both cold and humidity would tend to make hair thicker and curlier. However, being in a heated environment to combat the cold may contribute by drying scalp and hair, then there's static electricity to deal with. Keep in mind also that hair has natural periods of shedding.

Try getting a trim, deep conditioning, make sure your diet contains plenty of protein and vitamins (take a multi if necessary). It wouldn't hurt to cover hair with a scarf while out in the cold. You can combat static electricity just like with clothes - with a dryer sheet! Just wipe it over and under hair and that should help with the static as well as with the tangles it can cause. (You may also be pulling a lot out from more tangles!!!)

where you live doesnt matter. as you get older you your hair tends to change. like ppl with curly hair tend to get straighter!! it doesnt matter where you live!

yes i find in the summer that it is more curly and then in the winter its less curly! I found that in the winter if i had cut a few inches off my hair it really helped, and went beautifully curly then i grew it long again for summer!

i for one have theeeeeee courliest hair ever and let me tell you i straughented it for years and it still never lost its curl just became frizzy(my mom said straighten it to get rid of the curl) what i do now is use this special shampoo for curly hair its called pantene pro-v curl repair.
